The Youth Mental Health Project developed The Parent Support Network, a parent-driven, family focused program, to provide parents who are concerned about their children’s mental health with a dependable and caring network, valuable peer support, and access to peer recommended resources in their local communities. Transcript: The Parent Support Network a program of The Youth Mental Health Project Randi Silverman - Randi Silverman is the co-Founder of The Youth Mental Health Project and an award-winning screenwriter and producer of the feature film, NO LETTING GO Randi Silverman [Randi is sitting on couch]: The Parent Support Network was created to establish a safe and confidential space for parents who are concerned about their kids to get together and share resources and share common experiences and that connection is so important. [Support group meeting in the background of voice over] The team at The Youth Mental Health Project stays with each affiliate of The Parent Support Network. [Randi is sitting on couch] We have monthly follow-up phone calls. We are behind these facilitators step of the way. Additional trainings. We bring facilitators from across the country together to help each other. That’s really inspirational and that kind of support helps The Parent Support Network continue to grow and thrive.
