Pentagon Displays 2012 DoDDS Art Contest Winners

For the past two years the CFC-O has run an art competition for Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) elementary school students. This year, Ms. Susan Yarwood, LFCC Vice Chair, arranged to have the beautiful artwork displayed at the Pentagon to honor the creativity of the participating students.

The display, which will be in place from 2 October to 15 December, is made up of three large panels and features all six grand prize winning works. The display can be found in the Pentagon’s Apex, located on the 2nd floor on the A ring in corridor 9/10.

The DoDDS high school PSA contest winners will also be played on screens throughout the Pentagon.

The student artwork, tailored to this year’s campaign theme of "Serve to Honor Your Country. Give Because You Care."  proved to be a wonderful backdrop for the annual Combined Federeal Campaign of the National Capital Area charity fair, which was held in early October.
