The 2015 Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas (CFC-O) Annual Coin Design Contest is underway. The contest is open to all Department of Defense (DoD) employees and their family members to create a 2015 CFC-O coin design that embodies the spirit of the campaign: “Give because you care.” The chosen design will be featured on a commemorative coin distributed to select contributors during the 2015 CFC-O this fall. Contest entries will be accepted through 15 March 2015.
In 2014, the CFC-O proudly recognized Ms. Cristina Piosa as the winner of the Coin Design Contest. Ms. Piosa is a self-proclaimed “military brat” and now an Army wife. She says, “Growing up in the military community I have seen the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas be a part of my life. Having my husband and brother in the US Army, I feel strongly about the CFC annual campaigns. We are blessed to live in a nation where we can contribute to help others, and I wanted to depict that patriotism for this upcoming campaign.”
Coin design submissions for the 2015 campaign season will be accepted from eligible participants (ID card required for verification) electronically in .jpg or .pdf formats through 15 March 2015. Artwork will be judged on originality, depiction of the CFC-O theme, “Give Because You Care,” and suitability for printing on the coin.
