Announcing the 2015 Coin Design Contest Winner
The Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas (CFC-O), is pleased to announce the winner of the 2015 Coin Design Contest: Mitsuaki Fujimoto, who works in the 374th Airlift Wing Public Affairs office on Yokota as a computer graphics artist. Artwork was judged on originality, depiction of the CFC-O theme, and suitability for printing on the coin.
Mr. Fujimoto’s design featured a bald eagle and the CFC logo on one side of the coin, and the CFC-O theme, “give because you care,” on the reverse.
“This coin design echoes the spirit of the campaign: honoring our country and giving to people in need in communities around the world,” said Victoria Adams, Executive Director of the CFC-O. “We know our 2015 contributors will look forward to receiving this beautiful coin as a token of appreciation for their CFC-O gift.”
The annual Coin Design Contest is open to all Department of Defense employees and their family members. The CFC-O began accepting entries for the 2015 contest in March. This campaign season will mark the fifth year that the CFC-O has been presenting contributors who pledge $150 or more with a commemorative coin as a token of appreciation.
