Uniformed service members and DoD civilians are historically benevolent with the charitable gifts they make through the CFC-O. Each year, the CFC-O recognizes this generosity by awarding a limited edition contributor coin to those who make a minimum gift of $12.50 per month or $150 for the year through the campaign. The coins feature a winning design selected from entries in an annual coin design contest open to DoD employees and their families.
The winning design for the 2014 contributor coin was created by Ms. Cristina Piosa, a self-proclaimed military brat and now a military spouse. Her husband is stationed with the 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, GA. In regards to her inspiration for the coin, Ms. Piosa says, "We are blessed to live in a Nation where we can contribute to help others, and I wanted to depict that patriotism for this upcoming campaign."
These coins are limited in number and will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis. Pledge early to be sure to add this beautiful coin to your collection.
