UNIT REPORTING NUMBER

One of the fun benefits of making a charitable contribution through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the camaraderie of joining the members of your unit to achieve a fundraising goal and earn awards while helping people in need. Each unit is assigned a special seven-digit CFC unit reporting number. In order to ensure your unit receives credit, your contribution needs to be connected to your unit using your unit’s CFC reporting number.

WHAT IS CHARITY OVERHEAD?

As you determine which charitable organizations to support through your CFC pledge, one of the factors you will want to evaluate is overhead. Overhead generally refers to the amount of money a charity spends on administrative and fundraising expenses. It is typically listed as a percentage of overall expenses.

ONLINE GIVING

Pledging online is an efficient and effective way to give charitable dollars because it lowers campaign costs and reduces processing errors. Contributors to the CFC-O have a choice of  two online giving methods: DFAS myPay (an electronic payroll allotment) and CFC-O eGiving (a onetime or recurring donation using a credit card, debit card or direct bank transfer). For a tutorial on how to pledge using these methods, please click the appropriate link below.
