CFC Cause of the Week: Animal Welfare

Kitten held by vet

CFC contributors can Show Some Love to our furry, feathered, and scaly friends. Animal welfare supports the protection, treatment and general well-being of all animals, both domestic and wild. Charities that support animal welfare work to prevent animal neglect, abuse and cruelty, and to provide a range of services like shelter, food, veterinary services, and natural habitat conservation. Everyday, nearly 200 species go extinct without proper conservation efforts in place to support and protect them; donations to conservation organizations can help prevent the next species from disappearing from our planet.

Here’s how you can make an impact:

  • $35 provides one rescue dog with a warm bed.
  • $108 helps save critically endangered animals.
  • $125 sponsors a pet adoption at a local humane shelter.
